We recently attended one of the major racing events in China organized by the Yulong Group in Youyu (Shanxi Province). The CEO of Tattersalls Ireland, Mr. Matt Mitchell, came specially on behalf of Tattersalls, Europe’s leading bloodstock auctioneers and the oldest in the world that we represent in China since the late 1990s. They jointly sponsored two very successful races.
The Second Beijing International Milu Culture Conference
Our CEO was one of the speakers during this conference co-organized by the State Forestry and Grassland Administration, the Daxing District and the Beijing Academy of Science and Technology. One of the highlights of this conference was the ceremony celebrating the six ‘Outstanding Contributors of Milu Conservation’. Mr. Bauquis collected the award for the late Maria Boyd who was instrumental in the reintroduction of the Milu deer to China in 1985. Other recipients included Professor Wang Zongyi, Mr. Song Shi Xiao (The first Director of the Milu Park), Academician Wang Sung, Professor Tan Banjie (Director of the Beijing Zoo at the time) and finally the late Cao Keqing from the Shanghai Museum of Natural History.
